Sensei Cody Diesbourg

Sensei Cody Diesbourg is a fourth-degree black belt and multi-time world champion in fighting, Kata, and weapons. He is Lead Instructor at the DOUVRIS Ottawa South dojo, with extensive experience in teaching group lessons, private instruction, seminars, instructor colleges, and day camps.

Sensei Cody began his martial arts training in 1992, began competing in 1995, and has been teaching since 1997. His martial arts awards are numerous. He competed in the North American Sport Karate Association for seven years, consistently placing top three in all his divisions, which include weapons, team fighting, Kata, sparring, point fighting, and more. He has a total of 11 years of WKA/WKC experience and holds 37 medals: 19 Gold, 9 Silver, and 9 Bronze.

Previously, Sensei Cody was owner and head instructor at Premier Martial Arts in Edmonton, Alberta, and head instructor at Family Karate Centres in London, Ontario. He created the Edmonton Martial Arts program in 2005. As Alberta Director for the World Karate/Kickboxing Council (WKC), he hosted the provincial WKC qualifier for that province for four years. He has done television stunt work and acting.
